On December 8th there was a special event. It was the vocal performance, the VOCAL MUSIC WINTER SHOW.Ms Plette and her Vocal students feel confident with their performance. “I am so proud of the vocal kids, they did so good!” said Plette. Safia Blake agrees. “It was so fun, I felt relaxed and ready to sing again!” Kyra Easterday says “Evergreen, (a song they performed) was so good, I had so much fun!”
I then interviewed some more of the vocal kids, Jules Crossland, Fiona Rosales, Lina Santos, Isabel S.S, and Mia Sundarrajan. They sang some of the performance to me. They were so good that tears came to my eyes. I had a smile on my face the whole time! When asking how long Santos was singing she answered “As long as I remember” Sundarrajan had said the same thing.
I wanted to know what they were doing before the performance, I mean, what do they do so the voices don’t hurt! “I practised in the car,” say Jayla Adams-Ortiz “We spent so much time doing rehearsal and just singing!!” says Olive Penny.
Being in vocal is hard work! I mean trying not to get sick, sing all of the time. But still a lot of the vocal teams work hard and have fun! “I like vocal because this is a place where a lot of people like the same things as you” says Grace! “It is a place to relax and have a lot of fun!” says Blake.
