“OSA’s getting a new art! And it’s called Mental!” ~ Ariel Perez & Logan Bergmark, 6th grade
The following article is a special May investigation by the OSA Shallot staff, aiming to bring you the very best of the campus' fake news.
OSA’s getting a new art! And it’s called Mental! Mental focuses on telepathy and telekinesis! Thinker Thinkerson says “I was SUPER excited when I heard of this new art! I didn’t feel like any other arts suited me.”
However, according to school officials, Mental is also dangerous, involving strange practices that, if you aren’t careful will fry your brain,
Countless people have been talking about signing up for Mental. It could be the biggest art at OSA when it starts next year. But the room hasn’t been decided, and there are many ideas, including using the cafeteria. Although not only the room needs to be decided, but also who will teach the class. Some ideas are Herr Lehrer, Frau Lehrerin, and others.
Mental practices include channeling your energy to hold a glass of water with your mind without breaking it, bending spoons, and transmitting thoughts to others. It involves using and controlling brainwaves, allowing manipulation of the very elements! Although that sounds exciting, studies show that the elements are alive and clamor over each other, trying to make themself heard, it commonly gives the person a headache, but in the most extreme cases, it can lead to the inability to stop the power.
To do many of the practices you must have a strong mind, a powerful will, and fierce determination, “To wield your mind as a sword, as well as a shield,” states Telekinesis master [name restricted]. “Although, difficult, once you succeed, [your mind] will be a mighty weapon,” a dangerous thing to do, making it the only thing that you can focus on, or worse.
