So, what would happen if OSA had an arts meltdown, or more realistically, a budget cut, and to choose who goes they did it like the Hunger Games?

Hunger Games at OSA- High School

Like the Hunger Games, OSA is really split when it comes to its art. With the big emphases getting all the fame and money, and the smaller emphases getting jack squat. So, what would happen if OSA had an arts meltdown, or more realistically, a budget cut, and to choose who goes they did it like the Hunger Games? Who would win? Later in this article I give my opinion with some questions.

Like the 1st and 2nd Districts in the Hunger Games, Theatre thinks they are the best. They gain all the money for the school and use it for musicals and plays. Like the 3rd and 4th Districts, Vocal isn’t at the top... For now. Hopped up on throat lozenges, the Vocalists have won many competitions and like deadly sirens they walk these halls with pride. Next, there’s Dance, like the 5th and 6th Districts, they’re so deadly that they could drop kick you then do a pliè. Then there’s Instrumental, in perfect unison they perform  shows that eat your wallets, and lick your pockets clean. Almost like the 7th and 8th Districts. Now Production Design is sneakier. Like the 9th District, they live sadly under Theatre’s control, forced to have very little time to actually focus on expanding their art skills. When they do though, it devours your life savings. The 10th District is Visual arts. With shows that get them slightly wealthy, and very independent students, they don’t really care about much. Then there’s the 11th District, Digital Media. They do the yearbook, then not really anything else, wasting away making websites. Lastly, theres Literary Arts, the infamous 12th District. The pro-equality tea-sipping hippies that everyones forgets about. Too busy listening to music and writing about things that are actually important. Oh yeah, District 13, Circus Arts. A super small microscopic emphasis that twirls hula hoops and also don’t class inside the school building. These are the 13 districts at OSA. The question is, who will survive?

Q and A

  1. If the arts were Districts in Hunger Games, who would win and why?

~Not to be biased but Literary would win. We get along as an overall emphases better than all the others. We are usually very quiet and all we really need to survive is writing utensils, paper, tea, and some sort of food. We are easily entertained and are a very diverse group. We could have excellent food gathers, people to hold down the fort, people who can kill, etc. We would definitely win.

  1. What art would die first and why?

~Vocal. They are a very loud emphases and not really capable or fighting or surviving. They couldn't hurt a fly and don’t seem to be weapon efficient anyways. They also only have 1 talent, singing rather being able to do multiple things. Plus vocal is separated; sopranos, alto, tenners- It’s not really focused on being all accompanying.

  1. Which art would be the sneakiest?

~Visual because no one ever knows what they do. I mean yeah, they have shows, but no one ever seems to talk about them. They’re also a small emphases and could paint themselves to blend into nature. Or sculpt animals or people that could lure others emphasis so that visual could kill them.

  1. Which art would have the most Sponsor’s?

~ Definitely theatre. They’re the most endowed emphasis and make the most money. They know a lot of outside sources and could easily do a monologue to get some help during the game. Although, like the 1st and 2nd districts, theatre already has sponsors and won’t really need any new ones during the game.
