"The first all-school Metamorphosis event is coming April 29, at the Fox Theater from 7:00pm to 9:00pm"--Logan bergmark, 6th grade
The first all-school Metamorphosis event is coming April 29, at the Fox Theater from 7:00pm to 9:00pm
After a 5 year hiatus from the Fox due to Covid, the show is back in the theater. Many at OSA are excited to see the all-school show back at the historic venue.
Mr. Oz, OSA's Executive Director, says that the most difficult part of setting up the event is, “Time! There is never enough time to coordinate all that is needed for the show. We are also depending on this show as being a major fundraising event and lots of work is going into securing sponsorship to make this happen.”
“Scheduling, rehearsals, and meetings is always a challenge because of everyone's busy schedules throughout the week. It's rare for so many pathways to all be collaborating at once and we don't always have designated time within the school day to do this," explained Ms. Menzies, a Vocal Music teacher who is organizing the show. "That being said, we're finding ways to work together and creatively come up with solutions to meet. It's just a bit of a puzzle to solve at times and I'm proud of the way we're navigating it! We want to make sure there are as many opportunities for these collaborations between arts pathways as possible.”
There will be many different things to be excited about, for example Mr. Oz is most excited about, “Knowing that this will be an unforgettable experience for many of our students.”
“I'm most excited for the students to see each other's work. I'm also really excited for the cross collaborations that are happening between Pathways," Ms. Menzies said.
Tickets will cost $15-$95. See you there!
