It's 2018 the president is Donald Trump we’re in the month of December… I know it sounds depressing but that’s not what the holidays are about. The holidays are about being around family, positivity, and a time to create fun memories. I had the chance to ask some of my classmates what would they give there estranged step parent for Christmas some said gift cards others said oven mitts the spectrum is very wide. There’s always the question of how much you should spend, what would they like, and if they would keep it. A cool trick is don’t give a gift receipt so they can’t return it.
Some people told me what they had in mind to gift their step parent, some of the things that came up were, oven mitts but not just some ordinary mitts- they’re waterproof, removable wool and heat resistant for up to 400 degrees. You can also go with some basic gloves,which I personally think isn't a good idea because it never gets that cold here. A good old card with a loving note is always good, when they give you the unsatisfied look when receiving it, remember to tell them it’s the thought that counts with a big smile. Online store- Amazon has a guide on what gifts to get people weather it be a coffee maker, tool kit, or a vacuum. Remember,just because it’s online doesn't mean you have to buy it, some people don’t need tool kits if they don’t deal with tools. Keep in mind the gift is for a estranged step parent so make it cheap, the cheaper the better.
