The cosmetics industry is one of the most rapidly flourishing industries in the world. With its revenue rising from $30.79 billion in 2003 to $56.2 billion in 2015, the amount of money consumers are choosing to spend on beauty and skincare products over the years have been swiftly increasing. With makeup now being more widely accepted and marketed to a greater audience, I decided to ask a few OSA students how much they thought they spent on their beauty and skincare products, and calculate the actual cost.
