"Here are some fun and festive elf on the shelf crafts to spread the Christmas joy!" --AVa Ford, Sixth Grade
Elf on the shelf is a festive Christmas tradition which started in 2005 by Carol Aebersold and her daughter. Aebersold’s daughter also self published a story called The Elf on the Shelf, a Christmas Tradition including a small toy elf inside of a box.
The story behind the elf on the shelf is that every night, once the children go to bed, the elf flies to the North Pole and informs Santa whether the child has been naughty or nice. Once the child wakes up, the elf would have moved to a different location in the house. The only rule with this elf is that the children may not touch it or the elf loses its power.
