Games are always fun to play, but these times especially are great for playing games with your family. So bring out a new game you never played before, or take out a game you love playing, and play with your family! Playing Non-digital games also helps decrease time, helps bond with other players, and helps break unhealthy habits of overplaying on screens. Of course, not everyone has board games, so for the people who don’t, you can make one! Making a board game can also help bond more with your family members and decrease time, while also being creative and having fun! So if you do not have anything to do for the day, you can make or play board games with your family.

As long as it doesn't bother your neighbors, take out an old instrument and practice. First, start by working on memorizing how to tune. Next, you can practice small songs, then start going on to the medium-hard songs, until you’ve reached the point where you are at a professional level. Once you finish mastering all the levels, make sure to keep practicing to keep your skill level up!

Reading books is a great way to decrease time and help stop overloading on electronic screens. So now is the perfect time to end the day after online work/school by reading at least one good book. Already finished all of your books? Buy a new one. It wouldn't hurt to look on online from local bookstores for a new book. Or, you could read books online here: Oakland Public Library. Books are also not just good for just you, but for other people, too. Make sure to once-in-a-while read aloud to your family members so you can all be excited about reading the next page.

You can also invite your family members or neighbors to join you on the scavenger hunt and help explain to them about what other people are doing to help others get out of their house and enjoy a sunny day while staying safe. Of course, if you do prefer to invite others, make sure to keep a safe distance and wear a mask at all times to help prevent the spread of coronavirus in the Bay Area.

Since everyone will be in quarantine and everything is closed, fun things such as camping outside will be limited. But, sometimes the best thing to do is inside your house! A fun idea for everyone to do is to camp inside. You will be keeping a distance from other people but still have fun and maintain entertainment when being limited. If you feel you just want to relax and do whatever you feel is fun outside, then do so. There is nothing better than naturally absorbing vitamin D and relaxing outside.

Set up your yoga mat, start playing music, and meditate! Meditating is a great way to calm down and relax after work or school, or for getting up in the morning. Meditating is also a great way to calm down in general! Not just for after work or school, but for new daily worries, like shortages of supplies and produce, or even just being inside. If you are someone who is stressed about coronavirus, make sure to take deep breathing and meditate daily.
#11 Teach your Pets New Tricks
Having this much time on your hands is a great way to introduce your pets to tricks. teaching your pet new tricks is a good way to reduce bordom, and decrease hours at home, since training your pet takes lots of patience, effort, and time. Teaching your pets tricks can also be a fun time not only for you, but for your pet, too. They love having you around the whole day, and of course getting treats after training.
#12 Rearrange your Furniture
Even though this is not the most fun thing to do, it can give you something productive to work on, and give you a new perspective in your house. Perhaps if your bed is too cluttered in the corner, or your table is too far to the left, make it nice and organized so you feel more comfortable in your home, since we will be staying in our houses for a while. Or, if you like, you can move everything around to have a completely different perspective.

Spring is 100% the best time to start planting seeds and making a garden. With much more time on your hands, you may be able to care for the plants in a better way and maybe, buy chickens or worms to help care for the soil. Or, you can just let the plants grow on their own without the livestock. Either way, it is definitely the best time to start creating your new garden.
#14 Donate Money to Small Businesses and/or Animal Shelters
Lots of small businesses and animal shelters are losing money due to the lockdown of coronavirus, and are having a hard time keeping their business open. Donating even a little money to shelters and businesses could help a lot, and would help them keep running for when everything reopens, and everything is back to normal. So make sure to visit your favorite shelter or small business online and donate a little money to help them keep running while you're still staying safe inside.
#15 Write Letters to Family Members
Take out your envelopes, pens, and stamps to write letters to someone you love, or someone that lives far away. Letters are also a great way to break at least some habits of unnecessary emails to a family member or friend. Sending letters is also more thoughtful because it is handwritten instead of typed on a computer, which makes it great for these times of stress and worry.

If you have any candy leftover from past Halloween’s, dump out the bag and unwrap either chocolate or chewy candy, (they both work) and place them on a cookie tray. Bake for about a few minutes, and enjoy!

since everything is closed down, you most likely are probably not getting the proper amount of exercise during quarantine while inside, but, there is one thing you can change about that: create an indoor gym! Hook your phone to your television and play a few workout videos to follow, or be creative and create obstacle courses to start exercising!

Not only are you helping the shelter by creating a new slot for another animal, but you will be creating more time for your new pet so you can comfort them in their new environment. This way, you can let shelters save more animals, give an animal a second chance at being adopted, and comfort your new pet even more when moving into a new home. You could even teach your new pet a trick. If you don’t want to adopt a pet, fostering would also help out a lot. By fostering an animal, you will be giving them a temporary home to live in as they are waiting for a family. Adopting/fostering a pet is also the perfect time to reduce spread of coronavirus across species, help shelters, and have a companion that can be with you through this time.
