Super Bowl 54 was held in Miami at the Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, February 2nd at 3:30pm. The real show, however, didn’t start until 5, when superstars J.Lo and Shakira hit the stage.
Background: According to the LA Times Jlo said, ”I think it’s super important for two Latina women to be headlining the Super Bowl, especially right now in Trump’s America. Both Jlo are both Latina women and they are the first to perform at the Superbowl. Jlo and Shakira are both great singers and performers. Jlo started singing in 1999 and Shakira started performing and singing at the age of 13. On the day of the Superbowl it was Shakira’s birthday and i guess she had a good birthday.I think it is important right now when Trump is building a wall and its importance because they are showing Latina power.When Jlo’s daughter Emme sang she had a outfit representing Puerto Rico flag in her outfit.
Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll was born on February 2, 1977, in Barranquilla, Colombia. With a Lebanese father and Colombian mother, Shakira honors both her Latino and Arabic heritage in her music. She wrote her first song at the age of 8 and signed her first record deal at 13.Jennifer Lopez was born in 1969 into a family of Puerto Rican descent. Lopez took dance lessons throughout her childhood, and at age 16 she made her film debut with a small role in My Little Girl (1986). Her television break came in 1991 when she became a dancer on In Living Color.
Hype: Was this the best halftime yet? No one knows, but everyone was ready for this year’s performance. Throughout the past, really good artists have performed at the Halftime show, including Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Missy Elliot, to name a few, all of whom spiced up the stage. Out of all the halftime performers, however, Beyonce still holds the record for the best performance to date. Although Jlo and Shakira did heat up the stage with their choreography and their singing. Overall the halftime show really gave some watchers a shock with their performance. Jlo and Shakira were really entertaining. I don't think this was the best halftime show because they could’ve done better,Lady Gaga and Beyonce really hit the stage. Shakira and Jennifer Lopez headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2020 and fans loved it.
Review: Personally I believe that the Super Bowl halftime show this year was great it was very entertaining,Jlo’s daughter Emme did great at singing and Jlo and Shakira were both wonderful together they brought the fire to the stage. I believe they did an amazing job. They really brought the boredom out of the watchers,they banged the living spirits out of us and woke us up from the long game.Okay, on with the show, which was high-octane, relentless Latin pop fun delivered by two artists who know better than most how to blow a crowd’s hair back with their dance moves and magnetism.The halftime show was good but not the best some other artists have done better,they are somewhere on the charts.On the surface, the Super Bowl halftime show by Jennifer Lopez and Shakira was a party: exultant voices, shaking hips in glittery costumes, irresistible global rhythms. They danced and belted through a quick-cutting mega mix of their hits.
