"Are you ready to be the spookiest person in town. well you've come to the right place. with these 4 decorations, even vampires will be terrified." --Zoe deetz 7th grade
This Halloween is a comeback for everyone, so let’s make it a Halloween to remember. With these fun easy decorations, your house will be fully prepared for Halloween and fall.
1. Wine Bottle Candlesticks
“An eerie flicker is a must at any Halloween gathering,” says Charlyne Mattox in their article 75 Easy DIY Halloween Decorations That Are Wickedly Creative. These candles set a very spooky mood in any room. Not only are they stylish, but very easy to make. First, paint some wine bottles with matte-black spray paint. Next, when they are dry, put an orange or black taper candle in the opening. for the last step, just light the wick. And voila, now you have ghostly wine bottle candlesticks.
2. Bubbling Cauldron
You can easily add spooky fog by simply adding dry ice (you have to be at least 18 years old to purchase), which is available at most grocery stores. Then, add a little water to a cast-iron Dutch oven. And that’s it. This experiment is very simple and haunting.
3. Horror Novel Door
“Long before scary Halloween movies were made, people were getting chills from frightening novels. So why not incorporate these spooky classics right onto your Halloween decor?” says Mattox.
Make the Book Door: Cut long, thin rectangular pieces of differing colored craft paper. Draw titles of Horror Novels on the paper. Outline the letters with some gold paint pens which can be found at any craft store. Fill in the outline with a paint pen or gold acrylic paint. Attach the door with double-sided tape. Add a large bushel basket and buffalo-check doormat.
4. Old Book Stack
When I was nine, my mom refused to buy Halloween decorations. My response to this was to make them myself. For this you’ll need 3 books, red paint, hot glue, and fake spiders. First, do a dust coat of black paint (thin coat) on all 3 books, enough so you can’t see the original color and title and let it dry. Then hot glue the books together in an uneven stack. Now, paint over the stack one more time with balck paint. Then, let it dry and put tiny strokes of red paint to look like blood. Lastly, add a few fake spiders.
