OSA student, Ava Ford (She/They) recommends Yokee Milk Tea, located on Franklin Street in Oakland, and is rated 4.6 stars on Google reviews. Ford recommends getting either the Rose Milk Tea or the Thai Milk tea. Ford likes to go there at least once a week with her friends. At Yokke Milk Tea, the prices are fairly low compared to the prices of boba in other shops. “I really like the rose milk tea because the presentation is really nice, and it actually tastes like rose,” said Ford. Ford discovered Yokee on her first or second day of school when her friends asked if she wanted to get boba and brought her there. And ever since then, Yokee has been her favorite boba shop.

Zanthe Jones-Gerachis (She/Her) recommends Raxakoul Coffee and Cheese rated 4.2 stars on Google reviews, located on Hopkins Street in Berkeley. Jones-Gerachis recommends the mango smoothie with boba. Jones-Gerachis found Raxakoul Coffee and Cheese when her friend moved and wanted to show her a boba place. “I used to not like boba and I only got the smoothie. But the boba really ties it all together,” she said.
Maya Mastropasqua’s (She/Her) favorite boba place is Teaspoon, rated 4.6 stars on Google reviews and located in The Marketplace Shopping Center in San Ramon. Mastropasqua recommends The Grasshopper and The Golden Hour, as well as the mochi doughnuts. “They make unique mochi doughnut flavors,” says Mastropasqua. She says that the reason she likes Teaspoon so much is, “They have tea flavors that are more specific to Teaspoon than anywhere else.” Mastropasqua found Teaspoon about a year ago after going to School of Rock with her sister. They wanted to get lunch and stumbled across Teaspoon.
Halia Pratt (She/Her) recommends Mr Green Bubble rated 4.2 stars on Google reviews, located on the corner of John street and Piedmont Avenue in Oakland. The drink that Pratt recommends is the rose milk tea. “Their food and drink portions are big and for the same price as other boba shops,” said Pratt. Pratt has lived close to Mr Green Bubble since she was little. “Every Halloween, they get out these massive Halloween decorations,” Pratt recalls.

Leventis recommends the Bomberman milk tea. “One of the things I really like about U-Cha is that they really care about their drinks.” Leventis discovered U-Cha about 6 years ago when she first heard of boba. Leventis Is open to trying new places but still loves U-Cha.
