As we know it is officially women's history month, and due to that there are many cool events you can go to that are coming up, in this article there is a cool and long list of them you can check out. - domino h.c, 6th grade
It’s the start of Women's History Month and there are obviously many events that you can attend to celebrate it. . But before we get into that, let's answer the question: What is women’s history month? And how did it start?
“Women’s History Month can trace its roots back to 1857. During this time, women from various New York City factoriesprotested poor working conditions. The first Women’s Day celebration in the U.S. was in 1909,” says Goodgoodgood.co.
Abilene Crocker, Media Arts student, adds their own reason about the importance of this month: “It's[Women’s history month] is important because it highlights amazing women.”
But in my personal opinion as the author,
I believe that Women’s history month is also important because usually when something gets an entire month, it celebrates something or a group of people that have fought to get that type of recognition.
And as a lot of people are now coming to realize (FINALLY) women have been going through hardships their entire lives for things they shouldn’t have to go through, and just for being women.
Now that that’s covered, here are some events coming up:
On the National Women's History Museum website, there are events shown on digital platforms, some that are unfortunately out of state, but still some that are accessible, such as:
