Right now in November 2021 there are sixteen episodes but like all the first three seasons, which you can watch on Netflix, season four will have 25 - 26 episodes , of which 16 has been released so far.If you’ve seen the first three seasons, Marinette falls in love with Adrien and has a big crush on him, but he’s in love with Ladybug which also is Marinette which he doesn't know. Marinette does not know that chat noir is Adrien. Marinette feels like Kagami is great for Adrien so she starts to date Luka, also known as Juleka's brother.
In season 4’s premier episode,“Truth,” Luka gets akumatized--meaning he gains superpowers through an object in which a magical butterfly lives-- into truth when Marinette tells him that she can’t tell him the truth about her being a superhero, Luka is heartbroken. In the second episode, “Lies,” Kagami gets akumatized into “lies” when Adrien lies to her and she thinks he doesn’t want to be with her but he needs to protect Paris from Shadow Moth.So now Marinette and Adrien are not dating anyone.
In episode three, Marinette is so sad about breaking up with Luka and doesn't want to tell anyone, not even her best friend Ayla. She got really mad when her friends visited and broke the doll house that she made for the miracle box. She said she didn’t want to be friends with them anymore which made them get akumatized into “gang of secrets.”
At the end, Marinette couldn’t hold this secret and told Ayla about her being a superhero ladybug. Episode four “Mr.Pigeon 72”, in which Mr. Ramier gets akumatized into “Mr. Pigeon” for the 72nd time. But like Ladybug promised, she would help him not get akumatized, and with the help of Ayla she made a little charm to protect against being akumatized when he gets upset.In episode six, “Sole crusher,” we all met Chloe's step-sister, Zoe. Marinette met her and she was nice but when she was around Chloe she was being mean to Marinette. Chloe gets upset when she sees Zoe texting Marinette but pretends to play a trick on Marinette. Zoe goes outside and sees Chloe's dad and they talk and she's really sad and gets akumatized into “sole crusher.”
So after Ladybug and chat noir save her, she goes to Marinette's party and she says sorry and is back in Marinette's friend group. In the ninth episode, “Ooptigami,” Nathalie makes “optigami” to watch some of the Miraculous holders from season three when Chloe turns into Miracle Queen. So Shadow Moth made an event where all the Miraculous holders would be and akumatized Chloe's mom into "Style Queen" to make all the Miraculous holders turn into gold dust. Shadow Moth made a sentimonster of Nino but ladybug didn’t know because the sentimonster was helping them beat Style Queen but she didn’t use her lucky charm to beat Style Queen. She knew Nino was a sentimonster for the high five he gave Ayla because they have a special high five they do so she told chat noir to break the turtle Miraculous and the sentimonster was gone.
