Right after that day on Sunday, Trump said to The Guardian, “They say they’re referring to me as a king. I’m not a king,” and in an interview before the protests, Trump said that he didn’t agree with the “king” label. - Sofia gonzalez, 6th grade
On October 18, 2025, President Donald J. Trump and Vice President JD Vance posted an AI-generated video mocking the No Kings Day protesters. The video includes Trump himself flying a plane with King Trump on the side of it, and Vance posted a video of Trump being crowned king and everyone bowing down to him. This was posted to mock the No Kings Day protesters. Right after that day on Sunday, Trump said to The Guardian, “They say they’re referring to me as a king. I’m not a king,” and in an interview before the protests, Trump said that he didn’t agree with the “king” label. But when I asked Alice Stewart from the 7th-grade Literary Arts, she had a different opinion, and she said, “I don't think he thinks he’s king. I think he’s open to the idea of being king,”
If we go back to 2017-2021 (Trump's first term in office), he would have never been able to make videos like that because AI wasn’t as developed. But the more we head into the future, the more AI evolves into something that can create videos like Trump's, so is AI to blame for these photos, videos, ect? ?Vanessa Schulte from 6th grade Literary Arts says“It has a part in this because it does what it's told so if it's told that Trump is good and someone Googles ‘is Trump good?’ and AI is like ‘Hmmm, yes he’s good’ then that’s what people will believe.” Now AI has gained a lot of popularity in the last nine years.
Companies were cautious at first to invest in AI, but today they invest 80% of their profits in AI. Trump is too lethargic to respond, so he asks AI to do it for him. Although his use of AI to respond to things is so weird, he has made countless AI photos, some with a golden statue of himself. Others with him as a pope!, and these are just a few examples of what he generates.
The New York Times says, “The White House has responded to questions over Trump’s use of A.I. imagery by describing it as part of his successful social media strategy. “No leader has used social media to communicate directly with the American people more creatively and effectively than President Trump,” Liz Huston, the White House’s assistant press secretary, said on Friday in an emailed statement.” But if he is so good at communicating, why use AI? The answer is simple: to get attention so he can promote his ideas. It's like how social media works: the more views you get, the more it will pop up.
