The White House recently posted a video on X using Sabrina Carpenter's song “
Juno”.  The video contained scenes of ICE agents running after free citizens and handcuffing others too. Claire Dodson gave a more detailed description of what the video was in Sabrina Carpenter fired back at the White House after its social media accounts used her song "Juno" for content.
“In this since deleted video Sabrina Carpenter’s “Juno” plays over a montage of a masked protester holding up an “ICE Out of Chi” sign, individuals are seen filming on their phones, and law-enforcement officers tackle and handcuff various people who are POC protesters. In the last scene, a seemingly armed officer wearing a Border Patrol vest chases a person across a bridge, captured in slow motion like an action hero. “The White House” logo flashes in white across the screen. The caption reads, “Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye.”

Carpenter did not like this video and responded , “This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.” Not a day later, the White House responded back to her quoting one of her songs “Manchild.” White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson responded to Carpenter, stating: "Here's a Short n' Sweet message for Sabrina Carpenter: we won't apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country. Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?" According to Dani Di Placido, Trump’s White House Deletes ‘Juno’ Tweet After Sabrina Carpenter’s Viral Reply. When this was posted they left it up for three days then removed it.

The backlash was swift, with many people responding to Carpenter's comment, some telling her to sue them, others saying they chose to love and support the right women. Some even said she can’t do anything about it because she doesn't own her own music and others responded hatefully, telling her to cry harder because they [the "illegal immigrants”] are all going back.

Trump also used Olivia Rodrigo’s song “All American B***h” in one of his videos and, like Carpenter, Rodrigo commented on their video.  According to Kit Maher in Sabrina Carpenter calls White House video using her song 'evil and disgusting, “The singer-songwriter slammed the use of her song in a since-removed reply. ‘Don't ever use my songs to promote your racist, hateful propaganda,’ she wrote, according to Billboard and Rolling Stone.”

Though Rodrigo commented, she didn’t sue or do anything further in response to the post.
Many people say that Carpenter's reaction was over the top, while others think it was too little of a reaction. “I believe that what Sabrina did was right all the way, and I have more respect for her now that she spoke out about it while others did not,” said Violet Regilio, a 7th grade Literary Arts student at OSA.

Some people even think that the reason the other artists’ haven't spoken out against Trump is because their team is preventing them. “I think they haven't said anything because their team is preventing them because they don’t want to get into trouble with the president. But I honestly think they should be able to stand up for themselves because it really sends a message out there against Trump,” said Paloma Bastos, a 7th grade Literary Arts student at OSA.

Some Artists have even banned Trump from using their music in his videos, like Rihanna and SZA. Trump is hated by a lot of people and as he keeps deporting innocent people that hatred will only grow. Will this rise to a bigger problem will people start to fight back against Trump or will Trump even survive this year in office?
