Artist for aid 2026 by Mufasa the poet -- aniyah garza, 8th grade
Earlier in January, Canadian artist, Mufasa The Poet, organized a charity event to raise awareness and donations for Palestine and Sudan. Which generated $5.5 million in donations that day.

On January 10th, at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California, the charity event was located. It started at 6 pm with hosts Bella Hadid and Pedro Pascal welcoming everyone who showed up to the event, and for helping out.Hadid gave a speech about her home country, Palestine. Pascal thanked all the artists who showed up and also made a speech addressing Sudan and Palestine. After the introductions, the five-hour charity event began with artist Omar Apollo performing his song “Evergreen.” Other artists like Clairo, Ravyn Lenae, Rex Orange County, and more performed after surprise artist Chappell Roan. She came out to sing “The Book Of Love” by The Magnetic Fields with artist Lucy Dacus. Other celebrities who did not perform attended the event, like singer and artist Olivia Rodrigo, and apparently manon from global girl group Katseye. Mufasa ended the event with appreciation and gratitude for everyone that showed up and how much was raised. The 5.5 million dollar total was donated to Palestine's children’s relief fund (PCRF) and the Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA)
You may not know about what’s been happening in Palestine and Sudan and why these types of events and awareness matter. So to inform you, both countries are at war and people like the RSF and have been facing many attacks, bombings, and a severe lack of food.Donating makes a huge change in their situations, giving them proper medical care and food supplies.

Artists for aid have been hosting events for nearly 2 years now with many artists who play at these events like Faye Webster and Daniel Caesar, who both performed again this year There are so many charity events that have started since Palestine and Sudan have been suffering through more attacks, and they have been helping out and have saved families and loved ones from their situations. Artists for Aid are currently planning on touring a new event this year and are curating a new lineup soon, and are hoping that their efforts could help Palestine and Sudan stop suffering soon.
