"Youtube is getting banned in the United states, and the creator of Youtube now has until July 21st, 2025 to give the app to the government." --Naomi stallworth, 6th grade
The following article is a special May investigation by the OSA Shallot staff, aiming to bring you the very best of the campus' fake news.
Youtube is getting banned in the United states, and the creator of Youtube now has until July 21st, 2025 to give the app to the government.
The president of the US, Donald Trump, states that “Youtube is the reason the people are turning transgender and gay, and that too many LGBTQ supporters are on Youtube.”
Due to this, if the app isn't handed over, on July 21st, 2025 Youtube will get banned and removed from app stores throughout all the states in the USA.

This news has led to many riots. Many Youtubers and companies are freaking out about the ban of Youtube and are trying to help buy the app so they can keep their channel and subscribers.
Most Youtubers in the US have been recently switching platforms to apps like Red Note, which is a social media app mostly used by people who speak Mandarin. During the Tiktok ban most Tiktokers have moved to Red Note. So, Youtubers have also got the idea to move to Red Note, which led Red Note to obtain 600 million downloads.
A ton of people have been doing videos about how the Youtube ban is horrible and that they’re gonna move to Canada. We interviewed a Youtuber who lives in the US named “Totallyrealchannel2030” and they stated that, “The Youtube ban is BAD” and that “they should not ban it so people can watch videos on Youtube.” A ton of other Youtubers agreed with this statement.
Google, who owns Youtube, refuses to give the app to the government, stating “We bought the app for 1.65 billion dollars and it is rightfully ours.” There is a very high chance that the United States will forever lose access to Youtube on the App stores. Which may also lead to Google getting banned in the United States.
