The OSA Circle Show, starring ten Art Pathways who artistically put together a gorgeous show circulating the many themes of Circle, happened just before spring break, on Thursday, March 27th, at the Fox Theatre.

“There are so many aspects of OSA that represent the Circle, from the ways we organize and gather as a community for assemblies and classes to how our building is geographically connected spanning Telegraph, to San Pablo, to 18th St. to 19th St. I think of OSA as an interconnected community of Circles large and small,” says show producer and OSA Vocal teacher, Cava Menizes.

Gabbi Luevano, an 8th-grade Fashion student, said, “My favorite part of the process was being able to see all 10 arts come together and create an amazing show.” Luevano says that the biggest issue they faced was the lack of communication with certain arts, but otherwise, the Fashion Department has been doing great!

Hyab Gebremeskel, an 8th-grade Vocal student, said that the show came out better than she had expected, and it was cool to see how all the arts can come together to make something like this. Gebremeskel says she thinks that the Circle show reflects on some of us coming into OSA as 6th graders and then evolving up to 12th grade.

Cammila Gayten, a 7th-grade Fashion Design student, says the process of the Circle show was really fun and collaborative, and even though they faced a few issues, they were able to work around them and finish the show.

Stephanie Verrieres, Fashion Department Chair, says that the middle school Fashion students created costumes for Dance, and high school designers created shirts for an Instrumental performance.

“I'm most excited to see the Pathway pairings and the creative ways each artform has explored the idea of the Circle,” said Menzies.  “I'm also excited to see it come together on the Fox stage.”

"I definitely enjoyed the circle show. It was very interesting and there wasn't one boring part," says Violet Regilio sixth grade Lit Arts student
