Considered the number #1 Halloween store in the world by many, Spirit Halloween store’s new animatronic collection has everybody excited. Lots of people buy Spirit’s animatronics. With more than 1,500 seasonal locations in strip malls across North America, it offers many popular and creative Halloween costumes, while also dropping new scary animatronics each year. Last year, often popular animatronics would sell out or be difficult to come by , but in the end lots of people say it’s worth it.
Guordo was one of those animatronics, and it wasn’t a surprise for the Spirit company. They expected the Guordo animatronic to be a hit, and they were right. Because of the beautifully detailed pumpkin, this animatronic was everywhere. On most resale websites, they have 5-star ratings. This animatronic will scare trick or treaters unexpectedly once they pop off their top to show their pumpkin guts.
Cotton Candy Dan is a new animatronic of the circus collection of Spirit this year, and it’s already sold out on the Spirit website. The animatronic has a rating of 4.9 on Spirit itself, and on Amazon, they have an impressive perfect rating of 5.0. Cotton Candy Dan stands at 6’2, with a well-detailed melted face. He spins around the cotton candy until a face pops out to jumpscare trick or treaters. Cotton Candy Dan proved to be a hit for the Spirit company, most people want to get this creative beauty for Halloween.
Standing at 6 ft tall, here comes another new animatronic hit from Spirit. If you don’t know what it does, I bet you’ll be scared and confused once you come across it in the Halloween store. It seems that you caught Nibble's eye, and he might try to take a bite out of you next! With an incredible motion sensor, his head will turn in your direction and proceed to stare at you. He will also talk directly to you in a way that will guarantee to make passersby uncomfortable. When my family got this animatronic, it wasn’t hard to set up and it looked horrifying in the dark. It scared neighbors and other family members who didn’t know what it was supposed to do, leaving them thinking it’s possessed. Nibbles the clown is rated 5 stars on the Spirit website.
Also standing at 6 ft tall, there’s another popular creative animatronic from Spirit this year. Not really a clown, but an infamous 8 legged beast that moves its limbs and mouth with scary sounds. It resembles a giant spider and is extremely well-detailed, it looks just like the pictures as it does in person. Wanda Webworth has a 5-star rating on the Spirit website.
Spirit isn’t the only store selling popular animatronics right now, according to some Halloween fanatics on the internet, Spirit may have been beaten this year. Of course, clowns are a popular and stereotypical topic for Halloween, but this store came up with something different. Prepare for the new, unique, underwater set by Lowe’s this year!
Lowe’s is a retail company for home improvement, but this fall they have been selling amazing animatronics that are the talk of the town on the Halloween side of social media. Here are 3 of the most popular from their set.
Retailed from Haunted Living, this 6 ft Deep diver animatronic gives an amazing underwater effect. The detail for the animatronic is amazing. The inside of the helmet looks like it’s full of water while you can see the skull inside. The animatronic turns as if it is looking around to see a monster underwater that is about to attack him. The movement of the animatronic may be limited, but the detail and sound makes up for it. On the Lowe’s website, it has a rating of 4.2 stars.
Another 6-ft animatronic, it’s the leader of the ship. The zombie captain’s at the wheel, and he has great detail. His eyes don’t have pupils, and his skin looks like it's starting to rot. He has a long white beard and he holds on tightly to the ship’s steering wheel. This animatronic has a 4.1-star rating on the Lowe's website.
The last animatronic I will mention for Lowe’s sea collection will be the seafaring man. He has bright yellow glow-in-the-dark eyes with octopus limbs reaching out of his mouth. His back is slightly hunched back while he shows off his hook for a hand. Some people are a fan of the detail, but I suggest going to the actual store to take a good look at this one. Even though this is a well-liked one, some people aren’t a fan. It’s rated 4.2 on the Lowe’s website.
If you want to host a Halloween party, these animatronics will be a perfect detail to add. If you ever want to hire a skeleton band for your party, you can get some from Lowe’s! There is a guitarist, drummer, and main singer animatronic you can hook up with your own music using Bluetooth. It was a little hard to assemble, but the end result was great.
Those were 10 Halloween animatronics I suggest, you can see them for yourself at stores. There are also some Halloween animatronics you can find at Home Depot or other retail stores near you. I interviewed a Halloween animatronic fanatic to see her opinion on some Halloween animatronics, in case you would like to read other suggestions for Halloween animatronics.
Interview:
3. Me: “Which one that you bought in your experience was the most difficult to set up?”
Luisa: “Most difficult had to be the reaper. Other people on the internet agreed. You need a ladder because it’s 12 ft tall, so I made my husband do it. Ha.. ha..”
4. Me: “Which one was the easiest animatronic to set up?”
Luisa: “Obviously smaller ones, like the Zombie we have.”
5. Me: “Out of the animatronics you have, which ones do you recommend?”
Luisa: “As far as animatronics? Um… I like them to have a lot of detail, like airbrushed and not cheap looking. Like the deep sea diver.”
6. Me: “Out of the animatronics you don’t have, which ones are you interested in?”
Luisa: “Man eater fly trap.”
